The working principle of the spring cone crusher mainly relies on the transmission of the electric motor, which forces the eccentric shaft to perform a periodic swinging motion around the axis. This causes the surface of the crushing wall to alternately approach and move away from the surface of the crushing arm, thus crushing the material in the crushing chamber through compression and grinding.

The main components of the spring cone crusher include the frame, transmission device, hollow eccentric shaft, bowl-shaped bearing, crushing cone, adjustment device, adjustment sleeve, spring, and hydraulic station for adjusting the discharge opening. During operation, the movable cone is supported on a spherical bearing and fixed on a suspended vertical shaft. The vertical shaft is placed inside an eccentric sleeve, which in turn is placed on a thrust bearing. The movable cone and the vertical shaft are driven together by the eccentric shaft sleeve, which is driven by a horizontal shaft and pulley through bevel gears. The pulley is driven by the electric motor via a V-belt. The lower part of the vertical shaft is inserted into the eccentric sleeve. When the eccentric sleeve rotates, the shaft traces a conical surface. Therefore, when the movable cone approaches the stationary cone, the ore is crushed.

In addition, the spring cone crusher is designed with powerful springs. Their function is to prevent damage to the crusher (such as the main shaft) when metal or other hard objects fall into the crushing chamber. If metal blocks or other hard objects (such as nuts, drill bits, etc.) enter the crushing chamber along with the ore, the stationary cone is lifted, and the discharge opening increases, allowing them to be discharged. This design not only improves crushing efficiency but also increases the safety of the equipment.
