By adopting gyratory crushers to replace jaw crushers, large-scale aggregate plants can effectively elevate the technical standards of their mining and primary crushing processes, boost efficiency in secondary and tertiary crushing, and reduce overall production costs. Furthermore, the development and application of gyratory crushers—both domestically and internationally—have reached a high level of maturity; consequently, this transition is technically and economically feasible. 1. Gyratory crushers offer a high crushing ratio, capable of accepting larger feed sizes than jaw crushers while simultaneously producing a finer discharge size.

2. The single-unit throughput capacity of a gyratory crusher exceeds that of a jaw crusher; moreover, the average energy consumption of a medium-sized gyratory crusher is significantly lower than that of large or medium-sized jaw crushers.

3. Gyratory crushers utilize the principle of inter-particle crushing (layer-crushing). Compared to jaw crushers, they feature long service lives for wear parts, and the content of flaky and needle-like particles in the discharge is typically less than 10%. Optimizing the particle shape of the primary crusher's discharge is beneficial for extending the service life of the wear parts in downstream cone crushers.
